Sustainability

Lubothé's mission is to create sustainable, organic clothing in exclusive materials that are handwoven and tailored in Denmark. Lubothé gives the environmentally and ethically conscious woman the opportunity to have a wardrobe of well-fitting tailored clothes in beautiful natural colors that are produced with loving care for humans, animals and the environment and that are free of chemicals, pesticides and heavy metals.

We only use non-violent Peace Silk, where the silk butterfly has been allowed to develop into a beautiful silk butterfly and break out of the chrysalis, therefore Lubothé's silk is more rustic in structure than the traditional smooth glossy silk. Lubothé's Peace silk is still light and airy and deliciously soft to wear.

Lubothé uses vegetable and/or azo-free dyes to color textiles and yarns. The textiles are often dyed by hand in natural vegetable dyes and yarns and textiles are often completely undyed, but are kept in the beautiful soft and natural colors that nature itself has created.

Organic cotton and organic Khadi
Lubothé's organic cotton is grown without the use of pesticides or chemical fertilizers or using genetically modified seeds.
Lubothé's organic Khadi is made from GOTS certified organic cotton and only manually produced to produce.
